Thanks for the consideration, IP.
I'm going for an astronaut, probably with a catchy first name like "Buzz" or "Ace"...something catchy like that. _________________ "Hot lead never loses its effectiveness in the wrecking-up of the shit."

I actually didn't plan on having my own ship, I was mostly curious as to what Ace would actually be able to fly. This is primarily a backstory issue.

OVG has a large lunar lander (not re-entry capable) that makes trips to both the moon to pick up scrap from lunar battlefields and to Orbital Vault F to trade. The active flight roster has three pilots including Ace and over a dozen mechanics that keep it working in-flight as well as doubling as gunners on the lander's twin laser turrets that're used to fend off packs of crazed hunter-killer drones. I haven't thought of a name for it, so if anyone has any badass or poignant suggestions, the winner gets a bonus action die for the first chapter. There are also half a dozen two-man maintenance pods that're used for EVA work. The spacecraft and the stations use anti-gravity pods to move around and stay in orbit.
Your re-entry pod also has anti-grav, but it's only strong enough to make course-corrections before re-entry and work with the retro rockets to try and soften the crash landing.
OVF has a spaceplane that skims the atmosphere for gasses, some of which they trade for scrap with OVG. They've let Ace ride along on it, but not pilot it.
The Vault's VR system has practically ever flight simulator conceived by man, and some conceived by robot.
New up on the gear page: PipBoy and Vault Suit. Everyone has one of the latter. _________________ "Now, if you don't mind, I am somewhat preoccupied telling the laws of physics to shut up and sit down."

There's a few problems I spot in the Ace character sheet:
- The Department boni are whack. First, there's two feats, but apparently you did not actually note Speed Trigger later, so I think there's a holdover from an old version.
- Wheelmen have full BAB. Up both attack boni by one.
- Third, he should not have the Hurled Weapon Proficiency.

"Valkyrie" - catchy enough?
As for the background:
Daton Kallandor grew up as the only child of Johnathan Kallandor, the Vaults Prime Gunner. Since his mother died during his birth he spent most of his time with his father. He was with him when he was promoted from gunnery assistant, he was with him when he defended the Vault from a pack of HKs only with one battery of laser cannons. Until the day he died. It wasnt glorius, he didnt fight against an overpowering enemy. Johnathan lost the fight against age.
To Daton it was no suprise when they chose him to join the gunnery crew. He rose as quick through the ranks as his father, but unlike him he wasnt satisfied by shooting drones. He wanted adventure - the chance to find (and fire) more exotic weapons at more challenging targets.
Whenever his urge for adventure became too strong Daton went to train in the VR-Simulator. This was also when he met Kurt. Their similar urge for adventure made them become friends quite fast.
Besides, its quite convinient for Daton to have someone who can lock the targets in place before he takes his perfect shot, isnt it?
Daton

You'll have to admit it's not bad for winging the entire CharGen process. I'll have a fully edited/updated character sheet by Monday. _________________ "Hot lead never loses its effectiveness in the wrecking-up of the shit."
